"The game\course can keep you involved for hours. The program has
excellent feed back if you choose a wrong answer, including the right answer and the basis

advance in the game, not memorization. The game has thousands of different questions, and
new facts and patterns of questions appear each time you play the game" - Philip Weber, LOS ANGELES LAWYER
"Additions to the new 2.0 version include an Explanation feature
which explains the judge's ruling. The explanations are custom-crafted for each question
and often cite rule numbers and/or cases. Another new feature is a Performance Evaluation
at the end of the game where recommendations are made based upon the responses you gave in
the game. There is also a new Save Game feature which lets you pick up where you left off
last time." - Philip Weber, LOS ANGELES LAWYER

"Like any good computer game, Objection!! is addicting and
challenging. Five levels of difficulty are provided (I never got to level 3). The learning
experience is not rote memorization, but requires quick, calculated, intelligent

"The heart of Objection!! is the computer trial game, which comes
on one low-density floppy disk. Aimed at both law students and practitioners, the game
succeeds in making evidence drills fun instead of monotonous. You are the defense attorney

to keep your client (in this case, you know he's innocent) out of trouble."
"The game was a fun refresher for me and brought me up to speed
again quickly on this aspect of evidence and law trial. Also, just from playing the game

give the correct objection to improper questions. Objection!! meets its goal of being a
refresher for lawyers and an introduction for law students."

TransMedia Inc. has developed a computer simulation that it says will
help lawyers sharpen the skill required when expert witnesses take the stand at trial.
Expert Witness! provides a chalkboard with strategic comments and tips to help the player

Massachusetts Lawyer's Journal
Expert Witness! is an interactive computer learning tool that comes with
two diskettes and loads easily into your machine. Its purpose is to teach you the
fundamentals of examining and cross-examining expert witnesses, painlessly and in a way
that actually helps you exercise the skills it teaches as you play it.
I say "play it" because the basic instruction comes through a
challenging series of random-generated questions--20 to a level, with four levels in
all--pitched at a witness, to which you are expected to reply, either agreeing that the
question is proper or choosing one of twelve possible objections to its form. If you don't
answer promptly, the judge taps his video watch and frowns. The pressure is almost real,
and failing to get the objection right is a pain, but you do learn from it. You learn when
to object to questions posed to an expert witness, and what questions you should and
shouldn't ask.

Cyber CLE, the Sequel: Expert Witness! 1.0
Game basics
Then comes the fun: the game. As in Civil Objection!, there are multiple
levels and your cumulative score must be sufficient to go on to the next level. Enough
tries at a level without success bounces you back to level one. You listen to the
questions and indicate whether the question is proper or objectionable and if
objectionable, the objection. If you get it wrong, there is an explanation available
immediately to explain your error. You are timed, so you must be prompt with your
objection, just like real life. There is both direct and cross-examination of the other
side's witness and your witness... The author's Puckish sense of humor makes cameo
appearances( "If the prints don't match, you have to unlatch!"). Subject matter

"Think you're pretty good at objections? Try this game. You'll see
how much you don't know, and you'll learn how to object properly. How many trials would it
take you to do that, and at what cost to your clients? I know what you're thinking--I'm
too old for computer games. You're wrong!"
MEDIA REVIEW, CIVIL OBJECTION!
Paul S. Gillies, Vermont Bar Journal & Law Digest
"Learn Evidence, trial skills subconsciously with Civil Objection!
Civil Objection!! Has but one downfall, nonetheless, a drastic one: it is absolutely
addicting. I installed it on my computer in minutes, and played it for hours. At the
outset, you select the state whose body of evidence law you would like applied - pretty
impressive. You are then whisked by extremely user friendly graphics and prompts into the
opening argument, which the game generates for you. Then, the fun begins. The bottom line
is that you can't help but learn the rules of evidence in the most practical setting: the
courtroom."
OBJECTION: THIS LEARNING TOOL IS TOO FUN
Brian E. Falvey - Editor-in-Chief
THE ALLEDGER - Boston College Law School
"Unlike Objection!!, this version includes a full trial, not just
direct examination. It offers improved sound and graphics and expanded play."
LEGAL INFORMATION ALERT
"With eight levels of play, attorneys get valuable experience
without ever going to court. It also features an endless variety of circumstances and
questions, as new situations come up every time you play."
ARIZONA ATTORNEY
"Civil Objection is a blast. Who ever thought that learning the
rules of evidence could be enjoyable? There is also a tremendous educational benefit to
this game that might be overlooked: the ability to make objections quickly and correctly
is one of the most important and basic tools a trial attorney has at his disposal. This
game is true to the rules of evidence and will allow you to get practice at making those
quick objections that are so crucial."
What is Civil Objection?
Jeff Rapkin
THE PILLAR; Cooley Law School
"The game includes improved sound and graphics with significantly
more action, realistic sounds and movement. In addition to testimonial evidence, the game
also covers documentary and demonstrative (within the course of the trial, there is
actually an animated computerized reconstruction presented, but only if you know the right
foundation."

"TransMedia's Lawyer game Objection!!, involving the infamous New
Year's Eve murder of Hollywood heiress Sandra Stiff at her Beverly Hills mansion, has
taken a new twist. A new Civil Objection!! series is in the making which places the murder
trial's star witness, Lisa Lamborghini, in an automobile accident, and it's your job to
represent her in a civil trial. Unlike the original game, which is limited to direct
examination of one party's witnesses, Civil Objection!! is an entire trial and includes
direct examination and cross examination of several witnesses, including medical and
technical experts. Like the original game, Civil Objection!! has an endless variety of
questions and fact combinations."

contempt feature where points are deducted if you fail to follow the judge's ruling; eight

issues are covered (and difficult hair-splitting issues); and relevant information from

includes both direct and cross-examination, covering testimonial, documentary, and
demonstrative evidence as well as medical and technical expert witnesses, and different
fact patterns every time you play."

PUT THE FUN BACK INTO EVIDENCE
A Review Of Civil Objection!! from TransMedia, Inc.
Gregory C. Dyekman
The Coffee-House
"This reviewer was struck by the realism of the format for the
game. Following a brief opening statement, the player is put in the position of evaluating
each question in the examination for a series of witnesses. As each question appears, the
player has an opportunity to object to the question or to indicate that it is a proper
question. The Judge verbally rules on each motion and an explanation for each ruling is
provided at the player's request. Part of the fun is that the player is scored not only
upon the accuracy of the objection, but upon the speed with which the objection is made.
If a player fails to achieve the minimal acceptable score for each witness in the case,
the game is over, the Judge dismisses the case and suggestions are made about how the
player might improve his score next time."

more difficult as does the tension in the case. (Your reviewer sheepishly admits that he
has yet to visit the highest levels!)."

certainly competitive. In fact, the ultimate result achieved for the fictional client is
based upon the skill with which the practitioner navigates the eight levels."

Civil Objection! SlipFall is an entire trial from start to finish with
